SantaCon and On and On

My friend Nat convinced me to attend this year's SantaCon. Saturday morning was a bit rough, but I threw myself out of bed and met up with Sam and Nat just before they hopped the subway at 11am.

I completed my tour of duty early Sunday morning after I apparently flashed my gang signs and another santa found a place to rest the eyelids:

But moving on to more important things, it's now early Friday morning and it appears my colleague of the past 5 years is now a dad. Congratulations Terry, Jamie, and Genevieve!

New Roommates

After a week and half or so of a relatively intensive roommate search, I've found my two new apartment sharing compatriots. It turns out that all the guys that responded to my ad on craigslist were undesirable in one way or another. Sara and Jamie seem like they'll make the apartment a fun place to be. Plus Sara doesn't cook while Jamie does which is a solution to the too many chefs/cooking for everyone problem. Yippee!

As a distraction from events of the recent weeks, I've been planning a trip to Whistler in January with eric, ryan, a couple of ryan's friends, and some unidentified potential partners in snow bunny country. We rented a sweet house within walking distance of the slopes with a fireplace and hot tub and plenty of beds in which to rest our weary bones. If you'd like to join or know someone who would, drop me a line while the space lasts.

I'm also looking to check out Vancouver as a habitation destination. NYC is feeling a bit heavy lately, but I guess that's par for the course as Winter approaches and the deadly Union Square Christmas Market makes its annual appearance.
