My roommate Adam is pioneering a new sport... Extreme Segway. He's also managed to get significantly dorkier while working at Google. No surprise there really.

Cape Cod

Arielle and I spent 4th of July weekend up in Cape Cod with her family. We had unbelievably good weather and spent the entire time either swimming in ponds or the ocean. Her dad and the two of us drove back to NYC Sunday night. The traffic wasn't really congested but we got stuck in traffic due to two accidents. The first one was probably one of the more gruesome scenes I've encountered. There wasn't a car that we could see that had wrecked but the middle lane was slick with blood, the scattered remains of a body were sparsely covered with white cloth and two workman's boots lay a hundred feet or so from another. The only thing we could think of was that this poor guys car had broken down and he was hit while flagging someone down. Who knows. Whatever the situation, the scene was in such stark contrast to the gaiety (and I do mean that on several levels) of the weekend.
