After a less-than-gruelling workout at

After a less-than-gruelling workout at the gym last night, I met up with Kasima, Jenny, and a few of their friends. After a fully satisfying geek talk with Kasima, we discussed among other things visiting Thailand followed by Burning Man. Now, if I only I could score that raise that I've been hearing about for the past year...

It was an interesting weekend.

It was an interesting weekend. Friday, we showed up at our new practice space, 23 Windows, in Bushwick around 11ish and ran through our show a couple times which went quite well.

Alas, we didn't get to do our show on Saturday night, but did all spin individually with the rest of the NY Fire Conclave and some peeps from Boston which was pretty krad. Aaaand, I managed to snag a free ticket to Burning Man from this Crimson Rose character - that was lovely.

Then on Sunday, I took a drum class and picked up my old drum after it's second reskinning since the first reskinning broke after two weeks of playing. Now, me in my mid-atlantic mentality, I thought that I was getting a free reskinning since the first one was flawed to begin with. Ah ha, not so, says Vado. Thus ensues a one hour argument in broken english and even more broken french on how much I owe him. He's asking for $100 and we end up settling on $60 - haggling is fun, but I suck at it.

Well, today we got turned

Well, today we got turned down for a deal with a pretty major software company. Pretty big blow since we basically had a handshake agreement with them. Starting to think that maybe moving to Bklyn to a cheaper place wouldn't be such a bad idea.

The fire troupe is coming along nicely though. Lots of work last weekend put into our upcoming show at the lunatarium. Was somewhat hampered by the raging double blister on my hand from drum classes using a rented drum - no fear for my new drum sounds and feels stunning.

Now, must go outside!
