[Warning: the following post contains unadulterated geek enthusiasm] So, I flew back from Pittsburgh this morning after a few days relaxing with the family and reaquanting myself with the reasons that I'm glad I don't live there. Happy Holidays! But the reason I started this post is my current posting situation. I spent the last 4 hours sitting in Cafe Orlin finishing up Corelli's Mandolin, to which I attach my highly underrated Bitchin' (TM) award. I thought I'd do some work on my laptop, when I discovered that there is a free wireless network sitting right under my nose. So I've been gliding around the ether for free on St. Marks Place for the past half hour - geek bliss ensues.

Finally the plans are coming

Finally the plans are coming together for New Years. The snowboarding shall commenceth Jan. 1st starting out at Stowe and potentially working its way around other hilltops in northern VT. New Years will be our first paid performance at the Lunatarium. I'm a bit wary of the DJ lineup though - Frankie Bones, Adam X? Puhlease. It's gonna be some serious old boy Brooklyn DJ table huggers in attendance I'm sure. But of course, the fire should keep everything in check - "Play some funky shite, or I'll engulf you in flames" :)

Here's a plug for some

Here's a plug for some good tunes. Shpongle is a duo consisting of a British trance DJ and an Indian musician. It's pretty psy-tranceish, but eclectic enough not to get old after 5 minutes. Do your usual searches on AudioGalaxy, Kazaa or wherever. Or, check it out here.

My workmate Alex pointed me

My workmate Alex pointed me to edna, a nice web-base mp3 streaming server. I've set it up on our home network so all you lovely people can check it out. In other news, Gabi and I auditioned for the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus this past weekend. I'm running away with the circus :)
