Check out two new galleries

Check out two new galleries in the images section: fire poi and a speck of the learninginprogress.bomb party. Also, note that The North Face is a cool company since they just replaced my aging and ragged 5 year old jacket with a brand spanking new one. Just in time for the snowboarding season :)

I haven't written anything for

I haven't written anything for what, about 10 days now, mostly because I've been working a fair amount and wasn't around too much this weekend. In any case, I'm working on getting my pictures up in the gallery using some sort of automated system. In the meantime I have eaten a fair amount of cheese in the past week, some cheddar and sprinklings of brie. It's very good food and I was thinking about including a dedicated cheese section for spondooliks. Let me know what you think.

So as my new Norwegian

So as my new Norwegian friend and coworker Alex just informed me, the following was overheard at a party:
spondooliks, n.: money of any currency (also: moola/handbag/wedge/dosh/filthy lucre)

I didn't vote yesterday because

I didn't vote yesterday because I can't. Being a UK citizen, it's basically one of the only things I can't do in this country without becoming a US citizen. The real problem here is that I like my flashy maroon EEC passport. It's so much cooler than the blah blah humdrum blue US passport. The ol' suffragettes would murder me. So, for what it's worth I would have voted Nader.... Gore won New York by 70% anyway! And for the techies among you, check out jabber.org and jabber.com for a pretty sweet sounding proposed solution to the big IM mess created by AOL, Microsoft, etc, etc.

That does it, after watching

That does it, after watching the latest installment of jackass, I've determined that it is in fact the best show on television as we know it. Funnily enough, the fact that it's on MTV is almost a plus since any reference to fecal matter, and theres a lot, comes out as "poo" - probably the most underrated word in the English language.

okay so the site's coming

okay so the site's coming along, but I'm still lacking any "real" content :). I really want to get some of my pictures up here, hopefully sometime this weekend. And so obviously I haven't been Mr. Friday Night Socialite but I can rationalize that by saying I don't want to subject my lungs, belly, and noggin to a night of excessive smoking and guzzling in their various forms. By the way, amihotornot.com is a fantastic waste of time if you're looking for one!

Office clean up is no

Office clean up is no fun whatsoever, talk about rubbing it in. "Hi, yes you're company failed. Why don't you go ahead and spend the next two weeks cleaning up the mess you created. Thanks, and while you're at it don't forget to find another job."

Halloween last night was a

Halloween last night was a rolling good time. Seeing as how I didn't do the Halloween thing this weekend, I thought I'd get me a get up and strut it. We trundled off to a private ooooh party at some bar in the East Village called Monks. I was a chimney sweep, and I was later notified that I was actually the chimney sweep from Mary Poppins whose name evaded the group for the evening until a young lady named Michelle (I think) enlightened us with the correct name. Bert. Played of course by the illustrious Dick van Dyke. Till next year.
